Martin Baker Aircraft Company Limited is committed to a proactive policy on environmental issues. To meet this commitment, an Environmental Management System (EMS) is operated and certified in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.
Being a manufacturing site, many activities give rise to a number of environmental aspects, including emissions to atmosphere, discharge to sewer and generation of controlled wastes. Through examination of these activities and their impact on the environment, the Company is committed to prevent or minimize pollution.

Environmental objectives and targets have been established and are regularly updated as part of continuous environmental improvement. Audits are undertaken periodically and the environmental steering group monitors these activities and their compliance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance with legislation is a primary goal. A priority objective is the reduction and management of waste through better utilization of raw materials, energy resources and water supplies, as well as minimizing waste at source, and employing re-use or recycling techniques.

The Company is committed to providing adequate resources, both human and financial to maintain the EMS.
Employees are being educated and trained to carry out tasks in an environmentally responsible manner and are expected to act in accordance with the policy and training provided.
