SICAMB was established in 1975 as a joint venture by Aeronautica Macchi in conjunction with British Martin Baker.
In 1976, the Company started its manufacturing activities in provisory premises until 1981, when it moved to its current site. Facilities were further improved between 1989 and 1996 with the inauguration of a second production plant. Today the Company premises cover 18,000 m2 and the number of employees is about 350.
